In 1993, Doug thought of starting a radical new firm dedicated to multimedia design and marketing. He co-founded the agency K2 that year to evoke the heights he was determined to achieve.
K2 quickly become a formidable force in the interactive world, a reputation that’s recognized throughout the industry to this day. Under Douglas’ creative direction, K2 was a first year winner at the CASIE Awards with IBM’s Kasparov vs. Deep Blue. He’s also responsible for K2 taking three International Web Page Awards for Best Web Design, the ClickZ Challenge Award, the MC ICON award for SONY Online Entertainment, a CASIE for Bell Atlantic, and a gold NewMedia INVISION Award for K2's site for the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau. He has also served as a judge for the CASIE awards. And he has been a frequent speaker and opinion leader in the interactive industry.

Doug is a classically schooled designer with a thorough understanding of technology. For more than 10 years prior to forming K2 and Magnitude 9.6, Doug worked as Art Director and Creative Director for numerous NYC agencies and design firms.
